Series I

Series I Custom Calls

Single and Double Reed Competition and Hunting Duck Calls

The Series I Custom; with its wider metric bore insert and shortened barrel you’ll have what it takes while on the contest calling platform, or while standing in waist deep water, to produce the most mind blowing, contest ringing, hail calls (without blowing a lung loose) and extremely nasty, consistent, low end duck calls. The new shorter barrel allows for an easier blowing call without losing the low end, ducky sound you are looking for after coming down off a series of long hail calls. Its metric drilled hole and angled Exhaust bore allow for just the right amount of back pressure to be put on the call without it squealing, making this an unbelievably versatile call.

D2 Custom

D2 Custom Acrylic Duck Call

The D2 Custom Acrylic Double Reed from Cut Down is the first new J-Frame Custom Double Reed we’ve created. This call has been field tested in some of the nastiest, harshest hunting conditions you can imagine. After testing, it stayed on my lanyard, and that’s saying a lot. It will put the birds in the decoys. If you’re a double-reed man, this is a very nice complement to the Cajun Style calls (Timber Mallard)… If you’re a single reed man, you’ll love it, … it will give you everything your favorite single reed won’t… From bone jarring hail calls to soft, seductive, “ducks overhead” come-on-in (begging) calls – this one will do it all.
Timber Mallard

Timber Mallard

Custom Cajun Style Double Reed Mallard Duck Call

When you think of Louisiana, you think of Rice Fields, Marshes, Swamps, Down Home Hospitality, and last but not least,….. DUCKS AND GEESE! Your mind pictures an old weather farmer on his back porch overlooking a Louisiana Marsh. Trying to mimic the sound of his soon to be table fare, he whittles away at a piece of cane that is soon to be one of the first known duck calls ever built… The Cajun Style Double Reed! Topping our Cajun ancestors is one hard thing to do. There are many Ol’ standby duck calls that you can’t pry from a man’s hand in Louisiana. Until Now! Thanks to many years of Wisdom from famous duck call builders such as the late Dudley Faulk, and many others, the Cajun Style, Double Reed has become synonymous with Louisiana Duck Hunting. Sure, there are a lot of good double reed calls on the market! We felt we could do better! With this in mind we built the most versatile Double Reed mallard Call ever. Introducing the Timber Mallard! This call allows the hunter to exactly reproduce every note of a Mallard Hen’s Voice, from feed calls and responsive come back calls, to high end hail calls, all while carrying these notes from the top to the bottom of the spectrum without loss of cadence. This call turned out to be the “LOUDEST, EASY BLOWING, GUARANTEED NOT TO STICK”, Double Reed duck call in the industry. These calls get “RASPY and NASTY” the easier you blow, and they produce very SMOOTH, SEDUCTIVE, higher pitched quacks the harder you blow. (Most Double Calls are exactly the opposite)! Its shorter barrel allows continued reed pressure for greater control when transitioning between attentive quacking, come back, and feed calls. Double Locking O-Rings ensure an airtight fit! BLOWS WET! In fact, the wetter it gets the better it blows! Try the new TIMBER MALLARD CALLS the next time you get in the blind, you might just get to taste Louisiana… FROM A CAJUN’S POINT OF VIEW.

Feather Max

Feather Max

Custom Single and Double Reed Close in Work Soft Duck Calls

Innovative, original ideas require new thought processes, which is the whole concept and philosophy behind the Feather Max. The first few years of Cut Down Game Calls existence encompassed many hours spent in the Timber Bottoms, Marshes, and Lakes of Louisiana and Texas. During many of these cold mornings, ducks just wouldn’t lock up to the LOUD echo of our old standby duck calls. TIMES WERE HARD! It seemed a call that was too loud was easy reasoning behind flared ducks. Experience has taught us wisdom! With this in mind, Cutt Down has incorporated every idea, mistake, and learning experience from every hunt into this newly designed call. This call carries its ¼” tone channel bore throughout the entire length of the end piece! The Result: The most Realistic, Raspy, Nasally, Soft Sounding, and Seductive Mallard call you have ever wrapped your lips around. Period! This call is DEADLY on Mallards, in the FLOODED TIMBER, or anywhere close in work is needed. It produces excellent Feed Calls and Lonesome Hen Quacks.

Cajun Hen

The Cajun Hen

Double Reed Mallard Duck Call

If you want a call that duplicates a mallard hen with a craw full of rice, corn or acorns and easy to blow, then look no further! It’s here! When a mallard hen has a craw full of food, the voice box is compressed, and the note comes out scratchy and nasally. To other ducks, this means dinner! Great for timber and flooded rice fields. (and dry fields, swamps, rivers, lakes, you name it)

Now, anyone can use this call to learn how to call and how to call ducks! It’s great for callers who want to coax the ducks in a little closer or make them swim into your spread. Also, it’s perfect for guides, bird watchers or videographers who need to convince the ducks to come closer.

Pintail, Widgeon, Teal, Mallard Drake, and Quail Call

The New custom, multi-purpose whistling duck and quail call is the “DUo Whistle”. This is a dynamic duo, a marriage, if you will, of the old 6-in-1 standard of the ages with the easy to use, built in roller style whistle. Now you can have both in your hand at one time. The best of all whistles combined into one call. This new DUo whistle does the calls of pintail, widgeon, teal, mallard drake, and wood ducks. Duck Hunting Call Testimonials

Hunting near Deer Lodge Montana on the Clark Fork River; The Temp was -9 F, and that is without the wind chill. My Timber Mallard from Cut Down Games calls didn’t freeze up once. I don’t know how because all the other calls we tried to use froze up, so the next day the only call that I brought along and the only one we used was the custom acrylic “Timber Mallard”. Just thought you would enjoy that story.

Thanks for making such quality products…

Sincerely, Rob Brandt, Systems Engineer

Just wanted to say thanks for making such a great call…. I live in Tyler, and I picked up one your calls up at Wal-Mart. It’s the loudest and best sounding call I have on my lanyard. The one I have is not on the website, and I can’t even remember the name of it. The package said that it was a new call. It’s wood and plastic… (if that helps). But anyhow, it’s great! You can blow it hard or soft or just about whatever you want to do with it. I would like to come down sometime and look at some calls in person before next season. If that is possible, just send me a email back. I’m already antsy for next season and its still 9 months away!

Thanks again, Andrew DeLaTorre

This call has what you have been looking for, period!

From Duckmeister of NE, Alabama

I picked up a “Dead Timber” call by Cut Down Calls year before last. This is the only call I have that will consistently hunt after hunt put ducks on the water and over the decoys. As for the various brands of calls, you name it and I probably have owned it. The amount of air required to get a quack out of the typical call is immense compared to these calls. You can push just a touch of air through this call and it sounds great!
I’m a small chested hunter, and this call doesn’t take the air most do. My first season with this call; my average ducks per hunter was great at 4.8 birds or 21 ducks per hunt.
